Sep 90 would have seen the Jags deployed to Thumrait for GW1, so maybe it was a colour they were playing with before the sand camo. Another option was a colour scheme for the Recce meet that had just happened in Texas.

PS - If you still have a 'Seek and Distory' hat for that det. I think Kev Stearman is still trying to collect them all in!!!

I have sent an email to Tony Morgan. I would like to know if the date (September 1990) is right.
www.targetlock.org.uk/...ce_uk.html
"On August 11th 1990 twelve aircraft departed RAF Coltishall for Thunmrait in Oman. Four of the aircraft carried the BAe reconnaissance pod on their centreline stations. The following airrcaft were in the initial deployment: XX112, XX719, XX741, XX970, XX974, XZ115, XZ355, XZ357, XZ363, XZ369, XZ372 and XZ396. XX766 remained at Cotishall."

There is a photo in the new Jaguar book. (Sepecat Jaguar: Tactical Support and Maritime Strike Fighter by Martin W. Bowman, page 205)
Notice: March 1990

I am keen to gather as much information on the service history of the following aircraft SEPECAT JAGUAR XZ118.

The SEPECAT JAGUAR XZ118 first flew in 12/051976 as a GRI. In 2005 the aircraft was taken to St.Athan for spares recovery and disposal. The aircraft was operated by the Royal Air Force and was part of 41 squadron. In the Gulf war the aircraft was named, 'Buster Gonad and his Unfeasibly Large Testicles'. The name of a pilot who flew the aircraft is still visible on the cockpit. His name was FLT LT A J King. I would like to get in contact with A J King or with anyone else who has any information on the aircraft's history. All information welcomed.
